Tim Atkin MW

Attractive, mid-garnet/ red, showing some development. Classic Sangiovese nose, uninterrupted by oak. Leafy, sweet, with some rose-petal notes and secondary bottle-developed aromas. Soft, quite gentle, forward palate, with hints of game and sweet fruit. Quite traditional in style, but none the worse for that. Bright acidity, good length. Not a keeper, but well balanced and forward.

Bruno Besa

Deep garnet to tawny rim. open, developed, mature, spicy nose, with mature small red fruits, restrained and complex. Balanced, medium to full body on the palate, with plums and cinnamon. long and lively finish.

Nicholas Belfrage

Medium depth color, some evolution on the rim. Vinous nose of some complexity and finesse: cherry and sandalwood—typical. Immediate attack on the palate, mouthwatering acidity of type, and relatively smooth tannin. Slightly bitter hit at the back, the fruit lifted by acidity to give good length, with acid slightly winning out. Forward and drinking now, but will be good for years.
