Nicholas Belfrage

Fine mid-depth hue. clean, fresh, herby nose. Good acid-fruit balance, with tannins in place. A very respectable member of the class of 2007 without, again, scaling any great heights. But will be enjoyable from around 2014 for 8–10 years.

Bruno Besa

Deep garnet to orange rim. Open, mature, a touch jammy on the nose, yet clean and fairly restrained.A touch astringent and one-dimensional, yet clean and fairly long.

Mid-garnet/ruby. Lovely, complex, sweet and savory nose. Essence of Sangiovese. Ripe, but grounded by acidity and tannin, subtle and well made. Red fruits, fine-grained tannins, subtle old oak, very complex. Long, stylish, leafy, sweet; some tea leaf; long and subtle. Alcohol just a little high?
