Michael Schuster

Ripe red-fruit nose; nicely balanced, flowing, fresh, medium-full wine, with a particularly fine tannin; ripe and fresh at once to taste, moderate complexity, but a deliciously juicy fruit; an easy, harmonious style, with a gentle fruit persistence. A very pretty and most attractive lesser St-Julien. (Some indication of how good Gloria can be, and of how well it ages, was shown when we recently had a 1985, tasting just lovely at nearly 30 years of age, performing every bit like a fine lesser-classed growth.) 2019-29.
