Dense, ripe blackberry Merlot nose; well balanced, fresh, finely tannic, fairly concentrated; lively, minerally flavor, dry, and quite linear for Pomerol, but long, complex, aromatic, and with good crisp, fruit-infused length. In a slightly more severe style for the appellation, but plenty to offer; a fine, harmonious Pomerol. Will need a bit of time still. 2014–25+.

Nice brownish color, very elegant and focused undertones of truffle, iron subtleties (the famous crasse de fer mark); silky and not velvety texture (more difficult to get that!), great length and harmony. Perfect winemaking for my taste; lovely wine.
Dark color, grand and noble nose: cedar, leather, with a hint of prune. Vigorous body with a silky tannin. The wine has energy and finesse. If La Violette is the most feminine Pomerol of the tasting, Nenin is the most masculine one. And a great one.
