Closed, but with a marked, subtle minerality to smell. Elegantly balanced, rich middleweight, finely, firmly tannic; a brisk acidity and a brisk red-fruit character to the flavor, but also long and complex within that severity; spicy, mineral, and refined, with excellent aromatic length. A fine St-Estèphe in the stern mold of the year. Leave 10 years. 2020–35.

Dark color, precise nose, classic cedary Cabernet character; medium body, nice extracted tannins, well made and classy, but not the intensity of the best.
Quite close to Phélan in terms of elegance, svelte body, and fine tannins, but it has intensity. Nervous and aristocratic length.
