The Antinori family has been producing wine in Tuscany since 1385, with 26 generations of uninterrupted family ownership making it one of the oldest wine makers in the world. Today, Antinori has become Tuscany’s pre-eminent wine producer, establishing an important presence in Piedmont, Umbria and Puglia.
This June Allegra Antinori will host guests for a delectable four-course dinner - created by Searcys executive chef Colin Layfield - expertly paired with Antinori’s wines. The evening will start with the new Franciacorta Tenusa Montenisa Cuvée Royale and a pre-starter of Portland crab and mango, followed by the legendary Cervaro Della Salla with Cornish stone bass fillet, Wye Valley Asparagus and morel. Their renowned super-Tuscan red, Guado al Tasso 2013 will be paired with an indulgent main course of Herdwick lamb cutlet, braised faggot and potato terrine, followed by a luscious dessert wine from Piedmont, Moscato d’Asti with Kent Apple Tart and Cinnamon ice cream.
The dinner will cost £95 per person, and tickets can be bought on https://stpancrasbysearcys.co.uk
