On June 3rd, 2019, the International Sparkling Festival will take the centerstage of the European sparkling wine business, showcasing a unique selection of over 150 sparkling wines produced in traditional method. Nested within the tasting event, the International Sparkling Wine Symposium - a newly conceived half-day conference - will deal with current topics such as climate change, quality control and protection of the characteristics of the individual winegrowing regions.
Already in its third edition the International Sparkling Festival will host over 50 of Europe’s best independent sparkling wine houses. The exhibitors come from Germany, England, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, Spain, and South Africa. Participation is by invitation only. Germany as world champion in sparkling wine consumption and host country of the festival is well positioned with more than 20 participants.
In most cases the winemakers will be present personally to meet a crowd of more than 300 wine professionals and consumers.
