The WineBarn, a multi-award winning German wine merchant, will be hosting their annual portfolio tasting on 4th February at the Army & Navy Club in London.
The event promises to be an interesting evening of discovery. It will provide enthusiasts of all levels with the opportunity to learn more about the wonderful wines on offer, in a relaxed and friendly environment. Winemakers from various regions of Germany will be offering samples of their delicious, elegant wines. Passionate about what they do, they will explain about various climates, soils and cellar techniques, which will give an insight into German winemaking and philosophy. There will be approximately 140 wines on show, many of which will be the popular Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). The WineBarn focuses on providing a very personal service and their experts will be on hand to advise on wine styles, tasting, food pairings and more.
Described as the ‘the Jewel in the crown of German wine merchants’ by the consultant editor of Decanter, this will be The WineBarn’s 18th portfolio tasting event. Trusted by the UK’s top sommeliers, the company supply many of the finest Michelin starred restaurants, as well as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. And for the last two years they have stole the title of ‘Best German Wine Merchant’ at the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
