The World of Fine Wine is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the prestigious La Fête du Champagne™ event in London for the very first time in 2017.
Previously held in New York City, this year’s La Fête du Champagne™ will take place over November 3–4, 2017, featuring some of the greatest and rarest wines, poured by the winemakers themselves.
Daniel Johnnes, founder of La Paulée de New York® and wine director for Daniel Boulud’s Dinex Group, and renowned wine writer and Champagne expert Peter Liem, are the masterminds behind this new, exciting addition to the wine industry calendar.
Commenting on the partnership, editor Neil Beckett said: “The Fête du Champagne team have unrivalled experience and expertise, and a proven record of staging successful and well-respected events across the pond, so we’re thrilled to be working with them to bring this year’s event to London. We’re confident that our combined forces will result in some unique experiences for our wine-loving guests.”
La Fête du Champagne™ will host 25 leading Champagne producers in celebration of the region’s iconic wines: Paul Bara, Maison Bérêche, Emmanuel Brochet, La Closerie, Chartogne-Taillet, Delamotte, Dom Pérignon, Drappier, Pierre Gerbais, Pierre Gimonnet, Charles Heidsieck, Jacquesson, Benoît Lahaye, Larmandier-Bernier, Jacques Lassaigne, AR Lenoble, Marie-Courtin, Pierre Péters, Eric Rodez, Philipponnat, Pol Roger, Ruinart, Salon, Savart, Tarlant, Vilmart & Cie, JL Vergnon.
Some of the program highlights include an exclusive Dom Pérignon Dinner with Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy; the Grand Tasting, featuring over 100 different wines in a salon-style tasting; and the spectacular Gala Dinner on the Saturday, when guests are invited to bring prized bottles of Champagne to share. The Gala Dinner will be prepared by acclaimed chefs including three-Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement of L’Assiette Champenoise in Reims, James Knappett of Kitchen Table, Jonny Lake of The Fat Duck, and Isaac McHale of The Clove Club.
