With the help of newly appointed wine director Edouard Bourgeois, Burgundy expert Daniel Johnnes and his team of winemakers and sommeliers have launched a new online platform, Pressoir.wine, showcasing intimate dinners, congenial tastings, seminars and Club memberships—and the public and members of the club are invited to join the fun. Pressoir.wine is the natural next step for wine lovers and collectors wanting to expand their palates and kick their wine game up a notch.
Pressoir.wine offers a number of unique wine experiences to its clientele, including expert consultancy services that cater to any discerning fine wine collector’s needs. The company organizes curated wine dinners at elegant restaurants, where intimate tables of 12 can enjoy fine dining with carefully selected wine pairings. Examples of previous dinner themes include ‘Noble Grapes of Champagne & Burgundy’, ‘OG Growers of La Paulée’ and ‘Griotte-Chambertin’.
Club members can take advantage of exclusive benefits including wine offers, complimentary wine tastings, early notice and priority seating, as well as VIP experiences at all La Paulée, La Fête du Champagne and La Tablée events.
“Pressoir.wine will give my team the latitude to do many of the things we are craving to do. We will now be able to say yes when asked to consult on cellar purchases, take people to a wine region of France, do smaller dinners more frequently, give introductory classes we’re calling ‘Sessions’ and much more.
“It is getting me back to my roots as a sommelier with more one-on-one contact to a wider audience of earnest wine loving people who want to learn,” says Johnnes.
For their first event of the year, Pressoir.wine will host a celebration of the Northern and Southern Rhône named La Tablée, from January 30 to February 2. Similar to La Paulée and La Fête du Champagne, the four day event will educate and communicate about the wines, cuisine and culture of the Rhone Valley. The celebration will see sommeliers, winemakers and collectors enjoy the Tablée Tasting of more than 100 wines and the convivial Tablée Dinner.
