COMO Metropolitan London is proud to launch Gridiron by COMO, a modern live-fire grill on Old Park Lane. In a unique collaboration with leading British chef Richard H. Turner, the restaurant combines Turner’s expertise in open flame cooking and ethical sourcing with COMO’s warm and sincere hospitality.

Gridiron by COMO pays homage to the ancient art of grilling with its open kitchen format. The exposed grill, feature bar and countertop dining add to the spontaneity of service, offering a sensorial experience of smoke, fire and interactivity.

The hearty modern British menu celebrates seasonal, ethically sourced ingredients, with meat, native fish and vegetables given equal attention. Fire-cooked specialties to be shared or enjoyed individually include Wood roast scallops with bone marrow XO, Smoked eel with braised shin of highland beef, Burnt leeks with hazelnut Aillard and brown butter, and Whole roast turbot with chicken salt and butter.

Award winning drinks experts, brothers Max and Noel Venning of Dalston favorite Three Sheets, have created a list of re-imagined classics to complement the menu, while the wine list has been selected by Fiona Beckett and ranges from big flavored new world wines to much loved French and other European classics. There is also an ‘Under the Counter’ section curated by sommelier Lucy Ward, formerly of Noble Rot and Dinner by Heston.

Turner states: “With charcoal and live-fire cooking, every ingredient becomes a unique encounter. The way the meat, fish or vegetable responds to the flame.
