Originally from Boston, Victoria Daskal graduated from McGill University where she majored in Economics and Psychology. In 2008, she completed the OIV MSc in International Wine Management from the University of Paris X-Nanterre. During the masters she travelled to over 45 wine regions around the world, studying topics ranging from viticulture and oenology to marketing and wine and food matching.
A wine writing opportunity with Jancis Robinson MW brought her to the UK, and since then Victoria has worked in fine wine sales and marketing, became a WSET Certified Course Tutor for Levels 1, 2, and 3, and an Associate Judge for International Wine & Spirits Competition.
She works as Project Manager for The World of Fine Wine.
The 7th edition of the World’s Best Wine Lists awards will still continue. Anyone who already entered their list will be in the judging process which is not affected by the current Covid-19 crisis, and anyone still wishing to submit their wine list can do so till Friday 17th July. The results will be published as usual by December 2020.
