Beacon Tavern

By Thierry Dessauve

Opened in the spring of 2016, Beacon Tavern sits just off the Chicago River in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Focusing on the best possible ingredients for each dish, Executive Chef Robert Broskey has created a menu that has been recognized as an instant neighborhood treasure in Chicago.

The wine program, designed by Wine Director Jon McDaniel, was created to bring value back to wine in the downtown area. Featuring 49 wines for $49, the goal of the list is to strip price out of the buying process and select a wine based on their taste profile. Also featuring several 1/2 bottles and a Coravin-based by the glass system, guests can enjoy wines from an easy drinking Dry Riesling from New York to Chateauneuf-du-Pape by the glass and everything in between.

The vibe of the restaurant is a true welcoming neighborhood one that no matter whether you are coming in for dinner, after shopping on the Magnificent Mile, or an after work snack, you will feel right at home.
